Jeff Seals Home of Distinciton

The first house we visited was to replicate a type of castle

Many fireplaces were placed in the home. They used an expensive pattern of stone called herringbone.

Each chimney had a different type of brick pattern that was used. The chimney on the right was designed by Jeff Seal.

The second house we visited was more of an italian/mediterranean style of home.

Each room used different types of arches

The kitchen had very detailed molding and there was also a vacuum system that was placed throughout the house.
The house had some rooms that ceilings height was 2 stories tall. Most of the rooms had detailed ceiling  that were incredible to look at.

This was one of my favorite field trips. Jeff Seal is truly amazing at what he does, and it was awesome to see up close these million dollar homes.

Collins Tile and Stone

Collins Tile and Stone is a superior tile and stone company for the Lubbock area. They offer the finest natural stone fabrication and installation. They are very easy to work with and their key goal is to provide you with the best quality material.

Above are some of the samples of granite, marble, and stone that Collins has to over. They come from all over the world in a variety of colors.

Collins also has a huge warehouse that houses a variety of granite, marble, and stone slabs. As a costumer you are able to see the product you are buying which is a huge plus.

The three pictures above show the different machines that Collins uses to cut, wash, and apply a finish to their granite, marble, or stone. The machines are huge, but are needed in a business like this. Each are operated by a single person, and it was honestly quite fascinating to see the machines at work.

This field trip was very informative and it was nice to see how the process for this type of business works.

Leftwich Chapman

Leftwich Chapman is apart of a 500-store flooring company found in places all around America. They are trained in floor sales and design, and are the perfect company to help you find the flooring you need.

Exotic by Nature is apart of their wood flooring department. It gives your flooring a unique appearance. This brand can also be used as a wall covering which would be perfect for a bar, etc.

They also offer bamboo flooring. However, it is not recommend to use in Lubbock because the weather conditions don't work well with bamboo.

The three pictures above are the kitchen and bathroom, tile and backslashes that Leftwich Chapman has to offer. They offer so many options with a variety of colors. They also displayed many patterns that you could choose as well.

Overall this experience was very informative. Not only did they set up all the samples in a way that was   aesthetically pleasing, but the workers also knew everything there is needed to know about flooring and tile.
